Yesterday was the art show, and it was crazy. I didn’t eat much of the ice cream, because I was outside the school cafeteria with my friends. My friend took out a football and started playing with her brother, then all these fifth graders asked if they could play. It was crazy. I spent half the time outside because the cafeteria was packed and smelled like paint, clay, and sweat. It was pretty fun. I didn’t win anything this year, and yes, people told me I should’ve won. What’ll you do? I’m an artiste (kidding).

Final testing’s coming up soon, and I am a nervous wreck. I hate tests. I always get so stressed out. Grr. And plus, the teachers are wrapping up everything. We have three tests tomorrow, and I’m pretty sure I won’t do good. I’m glad it’s at least almost summer. When summer comes I’ll jump and scream. Then, I’ll look at my summer reading list and cry my eyes out.

Well, that’s it. Pretty boring, huh?

New Layout and other things…

Hey guys! I made a new layout, and looking at it now….it’s waaaaay more smaller than my other one. Oh well, I did this whole thing in one day. Whew. I also added new link buttons if you look under the “website” section. I’m also about to add a section for some of my doodles, I guess. I’m also going to add more features or whatever you call it. This site is going to be more of a personal site now, I guess.

People still call me Manny in school (refer to to my post from two days ago). I don’t get it. I don’t. I guess they’re just trying to bug me. Or maybe I’m just not seeing my resemblance to the great Manuela “Manny” Santos (yeah, I was sarcastic! :P)

We’re doing a lot in school, lucky I got to post. Finals testing’s coming and the teachers are working us to death. You know what’s annoying, though? Some people in school don’t study for tests, then they fail it, then they cry about it. My teacher was right about the whole “you should take responsibilty” thing. They complain about their grades and stuff, but they never study. Oh well, maybe one day they’ll get it. Well, I’m not saying I’m super-genius girl, but at least I study.

I absolutely cannot wait for this summer, or the art show at my school going on next week. Last year I almost won, but came in second place and random people came up to me and told me “Are you the one who won second place? You should’ve won first!” The annoying thing is, we have it in the cafeteria and it is boiling down there! At least there’s ice cream. YUMMY! :D. Speakin’ of art,
I am workin’ on a new layout. I hope it’s good. It’s probably going to suck, I definitely need more inspiration and maybe new brushes. You know what else I need? ICE CREAM! Too bad for me, huh?

Baseball and other things….

To tell the truth, I had no better title. Today, we had baseball in gym class. Surprisingly, I hit it besides the fact that I’m left-handed. Thank God today that I didn’t get tortured in gym. It’s ’cause when we play baseball, the boys play their own game and the girls play their own. The girls aren’t really that good either, so you really couldn’t bug anyone. Thank God. Then in the afternoon, we brought in the newspapers so we could do editorials for writing. I wish we did something more interesting. The bake sale yesterday did okay. Not a lot of people brought in anything. I was helping and I guess people don’t know the meaning of “get in a line”. And I ran out of change. There’s really not much more that happened.

I wish I had more graphics to post up. I wish I had a better layout. I don’t really like this one. It was just a quickie and I’m in the process of making a new one. Oh, Olivia, it’s okay you deleted me, as long as you add me again. I’d probably done the same thing. LOL.

I’m back again, and I posted more graphics. Today at school was just any other regular school day. I got a new haircut and people said I looked like Manny from Degrassi. Ireally don’t. I didn’t have much homework, thank God. My braces still hurt from getting tightened.

I find myself really obsessed about the Jonas Brothers these days. They are awesome, and if you think I like them just ’cause they’re famous, I don’t. A couple of years ago, before they were famous, I watched a movie called Aquamarine. I liked it, so I bought the DVD. When it ended I kept the credits playing just out of laziness and I heard their song “Time for Me to Fly”. I really liked it. Then a couple weeks later I bought the movie soundtrack and found out who they were. I googled them and saw their songs and I became a fan. So, there goes. I have the Aquamarine CD to prove it.

Oh, I have a funny story from today.At school, we were having some bake sale and I had to make flyers for it. I made it in another room and showed my teacher. I messed something up, so I had to re-do it again because I didn’t save it (aren’t I stupid?). So I started over again and got it copied and I had to deliver it to every classroom. I missed my whole science class. And I was sweating and tired. Oh well, it was kind of fun to get out of class once in a while!
